I like the fact that there are 6 "eggs" in here. You see a lot of "excavation" kits like these, and they're generally just plaster of some sort with a plastic dinosaur inside. Often there will be one dinosaur for like 6 dollars or two for 11. This is 6 of them for the price you might expect to for there to be 1. As it states, this is a great activity for a birthday or a get together (although not right now). It's also a good way for one kid to burn an entire afternoon.
The dinosaurs are about what you'd expect them to be, so don't get your expectations high. But if your kid has a strong interest in dinosaurs, they'll like this. If you bury/hide the eggs, you can make it even more fun while they search. We hid one of the eggs on a beach near where my child was playing and the wonder was legit. Just be prepared for your kid to be a little disappointed when the beach is not littered with eggs and there aren't more to dig up.
But with a little imagination, this can be really fun.
